Member of TAC: Abby

Hi my lovely bookish friends! I hope everyone is doing well. My name is Abby, and I am a huge lover of books, hot tea, crunching leaves, rain, cool crisp air, vintage everything, and all the things that make you want to snuggle up and read a warm book. I am currently a senior — slightly stressed with the pressure of scholarships and applications reigning down on me, but at least I love to write so the essay part isn’t too bad.

I still remember the first book that transformed me from being a person who reads into a reader. It was Harry Potter the Sorcerers Stone: 6th grade. From picking up this magical book to now, I must proudly say I am a book nerd who lives for the story— some might say it is slightly unhealthy; I just say meh. My current read is Graceling by Kristen Cashore, a wonderful recommendation from another lovely TAC member, Suzie.

I love to spend my spare time writing, reading, listening to music, studying foreign languages, playing video games, and baking yummy, sugary treats that may or may not give me a stomachache afterward (the sacrifice is usually worth it).

I am so grateful that I replied to that Instagram story all those months ago and made my first trip to Bookmarks, because ever since then, I have interacted with the most wonderful, amazing, and bookish people that I can’t imagine parting from any time soon! I am looking forward to writing more blogs in the future; keep an eye out ;)
