I've existed in fictional worlds for the majority of my sixteen years of life. Some of my fondest memories include the rush of getting new books for Christmas, the hours of reading trying to finish the current Percy Jackson adventure, Nancy Drew mystery, or Roald Dahl story, and the joy that came from dressing up as my favorite characters for Halloween.
My love for reading quickly blossomed into a love for writing, which continues to this day. Currently, I am working on my first full-length novel- a fantasy story filled with dragons, pirates, and heartbreak (for my readers). My writing reflects my reading taste – I adore everything about fantasy, especially the poetic and creative liberties authors can take when creating their own worlds. I am forever grateful to some of my favorite authors– Leigh Bardugo, JRR Tolkien, Andrew Peterson, Roshani Chokshi, and JK Rowling– for providing me with new universes to explore through the pages of their books and inspiring me to create universes of my own.
When I'm not reading and writing (or procrastinating on writing), I enjoy working at a local bookstore in my hometown of Greensboro, baking cookies for my friends, traveling when I can (and daydreaming of places I want to go when I can't), playing with my cat, Samwise, rock climbing, and frequenting my favorite coffee shop.
I'm incredibly excited to join TAC and the lovely people writing this blog by sharing my love for books and writing with you all!
