Member of TAC: Katherine

Hello! My name is Katherine, I am one of the original members of TAC, and a sophomore in high school! Since it started in March of 2018, I have helped to organize several events, from the Summer Solstice party to the many author events throughout the year. This is a truly unforgettable experience that has changed my teenage years for the better!

I have loved reading ever since I could remember, but it really kicked off when I read the Harry Potter books when I was in elementary school. These books touched the lives of millions, and I am proud to say that I am a part of that statistic. It fostered in a love of reading and writing for me and got me initiated in the world of fandom. As of now, I will read just about anything! My current favorites include Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi, They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera, and anything Sarah J. Maas has ever written. I hope to be contributing to the book reviews on this site and elsewhere!

Meeting all of the authors and hosting the events has helped me to learn valuable lessons about writing, the literary community, networking, and how to be an all around good person in the community. I also enjoy playing flute and participating in other school related activities, but Bookmarks is truly unique and I cannot wait to see what places we will go.
